The construction of a medieval fortress castle using 13th century techniques.

The Goal

To be a scientific educational, as well as fun learning environment for all ages; to bring medieval history and architecture alive to a wide audience.

Who Are We

Ozark Medieval Fortress L.L.C. was started by a group of visionaries who have invested, along with the creator of a similar project in France in its 12th year of roaring success.

Where Are We

Near Lead Hill, Arkansas.

When Is This Happening

Opening day is May 1, 2010. The office is opening January 15th 2010.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking artisans who can walk as well as demonstrate medieval life and the importance of their handiwork to the construction of a castle.

Who Are We Looking For

We are seeking for a basket weaver and someone knowledgeable in the art of illumination.

How Does It Work

We want you to come periodically or permanently to our site to demonstrate your craft in front of the public during our business hours.

What Is In It For You

We will provide the structure for you to work from.
There is no construction of a booth required. There will be a continual large public audience to whom you will be able to sell your wares and build your customer base.

What Do We Ask Of You

You will be there to interact and educate the public in medieval (up to late 13th century) techniques while producing needed materials for the construction of the castle.

We ask that you be knowledgeable about this time period and willing to share your knowhow on a one to one mentor basis for short periods of time.
