Although we undurstand that field trip allowances can often be shortened by travel times, allow as much time as possible to visit and explore after the guided visit .
Example :1 Hour for guided visit and 1Hour free exploration to see the rest of the artisans, animals…
Classes having become familiar with themes that will be touched upon in their visit (see our constantly evolving pedagogic pages on our website) will certainly be much more out of their field trip, especially if you have time restrictions.

This includes proper attire.

And don’t forget your bus drivers, they will love it if your prepare a change of footwear on muddy day!
It is important for the safety and enjoyment of everyone at our castle that basic rules of conduct and respect are reinforced by chaperons before and during visiting the site.
Persons under age 18 year’s old are to be accompanied at all times.
There are picnic tables placed periodically in the forest , on the exterior of the park between the parking lot and the entrance. Other dining options are limited so far, so a picnic lunch or snack is recommended.
However, soft drinks and water are on sale in the gift shop and a drinking fountain available by the restrooms.
It is provided with education materials as well as souvenir items and is located at the entrance and exit of the site.
Children might enjoy taking something home!
Although there are many animals to be talked to, in their own language, the work horse are at work.
Please explain to students that a startled horse of this size and strength can be a danger.
It is very important not to scream or run near the horse at work and unfortunately they may not be petted while at work.
Help keep our nature natural by placing all trash in bins or packing it out with you.
Help reduce breakage of gift shop items by not bringing large bags (backpacks) or numerous people at the same time into the shop.
